St. George’s Episcopal Church
Faith reimagined.

Welcome!
Sunday Service:
9:30-10:30 am
Church for the un-churchy
At St. George’s, the best parts of church tradition are carried forward, (a choir, communion), but the whole vibe is relaxed and fun.
Grab a cup of coffee and take it to your seat.
Bring your dog (on a leash).
Laugh out loud.
It’s all good.
The most unique thing about St. George’s
In place of a sermon, there’s a whole-group conversation — starting with a scripture passage, then shifting to what we believe as individuals, and how we live that belief today.
On most Sundays, multiple religious and spiritual backgrounds are represented, as well as doubters and skeptics being in the mix. Questions and doubts are welcome; every point of view is shared and valued.
No haters here
St. George’s is allies of the LGBTQIA+ community, (the Episcopal Church performed gay weddings long before they were legal), and provides an environment sensitive to neurodiverse needs.
All tenants and renters on campus must sign an agreement that their business or event is open to all who want to participate, without exception.
‘Love your neighbor’ is taken seriously here.
Holy Week
at
St. George’s
April 13—20
Between the Sunday worship services of Palm Sunday and Easter lie three magical evening experiences; devotional gatherings which are like participatory theater:
Maundy Thursday (April 17, 7:30 pm) begins with remembering Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples, and ends in the silence and darkness of the Garden of Gethsemane.
Good Friday (April 18, 7:30 pm) tells the story of Jesus’ arrest, trial and crucifixion, ending with laying flowers and lighting candles at the foot of his cross.
Holy Saturday (April 19, 7:30 pm) begins with mourning at the tomb of Jesus, then follows the light of the Paschal Candle and the Gospel pronouncement, “He is risen!” Bring bells to ring wildly at this point, and plan to stay for the champagne reception which follows on the patio.
